TTISS-ON Coordinating Centre
For the past 13 years, McMaster University, McMaster Centre for Transfusion Research (MCTR), located in the Health Science Centre, directed by Dr. Donald Arnold, has been the provincial coordinating center for TTISS-ON for the collection and reporting of Adverse Transfusion Events in Ontario under the direction of Professor Nancy Heddle.
McMaster University continues to be contracted by the Blood Programs Coordinating Office (BPCO) of the Province of Ontario to support and coordinate the TTISS program, in conjunction with the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). The Province of Ontario will continue to develop the provincial program in accordance with the objectives in the agreement between the Province of Ontario and the PHAC.
